Meet FOXY & TOMMY – March’s “Buddies of the Month”!
Foxy (the tortie) & Tommy (orange striped) live with the PAWSBINK 2023 Volunteer of the Year, Kathy Brady! Kathy has been volunteering with PAWSBINK for years. She does everything! She volunteers at the Bainbridge Island Adoption Center; a member of the Gala committee; fosters; transportation, and more!
Here are some fun notes about Foxy & Tommy from Kathy:
Foxy – I adopted Foxy from PAWS in 2013. I walked in and saw this cat with no hair from her neck down from a flea allergy. I didn’t want another pet but she was so personable and didn’t want to go back into her condo so I decided to add her to my family. She quickly became the queen of the house and took control of my little Yorkie and two other cats. She welcomes everyone that comes to our home. She is truly a royal addition.
Tommy – Tommy was a foster cat who decided to charm my daughter with all of his quirks in 2023. Tommy had major issues with balance. He would fall over if not leaning on a wall as he walked. When he looked up, he would chase random things no one else could see. My guess is perhaps he had floaters in his eyes that he was trying to chase. After 31 days of antibiotics, Tommy was walking without falling. He still has a few mental and physical handicaps but nothing stops him from enjoying life. He loves howling at the birds from the catio. This lovable, fun, friendly guy will always be a part of our Brady Bunch.
Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your sweet kitties with us!

Please include the animal’s name, along with your contact information, in all correspondence and our Adoption & Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you within three working days. Providing a Safety Net
By providing Veterinary Financial Assistance, Senior Support and a Pet Food Bank, PAWSBINK provides the resources needed to keep cherished pets at home. Sometimes being able to have a pet in your life, and needing to surrender that beloved companion to a shelter, can be a very close call for a family that is suddenly living on the brink. Pet retention programs like these take the pressure off overcrowded shelters and keep families, and their beloved pets, together.
Proving There's No Place Like Home
Whether through our innovative PALS Senior Placement Program, or the highly-regarded Adoption Program that rescues at-risk cats and kittens from high-kill shelter areas, PAWSBINK is working every day to nurture and sustain the bond of companionship between pets and their people.
Support Compassionate Communities
From our low-income community support programs, to complementary cat boarding for those facing a life crisis, and companionship for seniors who otherwise could not afford a pet, PAWSBINK is there for the most vulnerable in our community – thanks to the support we receive from so many like-minded individuals right here at home. Thank you for your gift!
